Is roaming free in South Korea with my UK or US home SIM card?

Updated April 22, 2026

It depends entirely on your home carrier and plan, but generally, no, it is not free. South Korea is not part of any 'Roam Like at Home' agreement with UK or US domestic plans. If you're from the UK (post-Brexit), many carriers like O2, Vodafone, or Three have reintroduced daily roaming fees, typically £2-£6 per day for basic data. US carriers also charge premium rates. EastESIM offers a much more predictable and affordable way to enjoy high-speed connectivity in Seoul or Busan without incurring exorbitant daily charges.
