Built for Asia, by travelers who actually went there

EastESIM is an Asia-focused eSIM brand. We curate connectivity for 25 destinations between Tokyo and Bali — the same airports, the same SIM kiosks, the same midnight scramble to find Wi-Fi in a Bangkok side-street that every regional traveler knows.

What we do (and what we deliberately do not)

We sell eSIMs for 25 Asian destinations. That's the whole shop. We don't resell 'global plans' covering 198 countries on the data sheet that quietly fall over in Vietnam or Cambodia. We don't pad our catalogue with countries we have never tested.

Every destination on EastESIM has been audited against the carriers that actually serve tourists: NTT DoCoMo and SoftBank in Japan, SK Telecom and KT in Korea, AIS and TrueMove in Thailand, Telkomsel and XL in Indonesia, Smart and Globe in the Philippines. If a country is missing, it is because honest 5G/4G coverage is not yet good enough — or because the testing is not yet finished.

Who runs this

EastESIM is a UK-registered eSIM specialist building cross-border travel data products since 2019. EastESIM is the Asia-curated face of that platform — same legal entity, same payment processor, same support team. The catalogue, pricing logic and editorial voice are dialled to Asia travel.

The connectivity reality in Asia

Asia is not one network. Japan's urban 5G is among the densest in the world; rural Korea is faster than most European capitals; Bali has thirteen-pop carriers competing in a 200 km² area; mainland China requires a different roaming spec from Hong Kong despite being the same country on a tourist's map.

EastESIM's job is to absorb that complexity so you do not. We publish the carrier name, the network spec and the realistic speed band on every destination page. No 'unlimited data globally' marketing copy; the upstream throttle is documented where it matters.

Where we hit a real gap (no tourist-KYC-bypass carrier in Ghana, Vietnam's mountain provinces, Cambodia's rural northeast), we simply do not list the country. Tested-and-skipped, not lazy-omissions.

How a one-tap install actually works

Pick your destination on EastESIM. Pay. You receive a QR code by email within ~60 seconds. Scan it from your phone's camera before you board the flight, or after you land. Your phone provisions a second virtual line; your existing SIM stays in place for incoming calls.

Toggle EastESIM on as your data line. You are online before passport control. No SIM-shop queue, no broken kiosk at the airport at 1 am, no roaming bill surprise three weeks later.

How we keep the catalogue honest

We work with two upstream eSIM aggregators — eSIM Access (CKH / JC / P-prefix SKUs) and eSIM Go — and select the cheaper, faster route per destination, per plan tier. The carrier and network spec are published on each destination page so you can verify before purchase.

We refuse to list 'unlimited' plans where the upstream throttle kicks in at 1 GB. That is a phantom plan and we are not going to be the brand that ships them.

Twenty-five destinations that actually work beats two hundred with footnotes.

Pricing and payment

Plans start at $3.50 for a starter day-pass and scale to 30-day unlimited tiers. The full price is shown before checkout; there are no carrier fees layered on top after you click pay.

Stripe handles every transaction with PCI-DSS Level 1 security. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted in all supported regions.

Support and contact

Human-staffed support runs 24/7 in English and Turkish; Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia and Hindi during local business hours. Email reaches a real person within four hours; complex regulatory cases (KYC, refunds, carrier disputes) get a same-day update even if the resolution takes longer.

[email protected] is the canonical contact. Our team handles every EastESIM ticket — same SLAs, same staff.

Why travelers pick EastESIM

Region focus, not global generic

Twenty-five Asia destinations curated and tested, instead of 198 countries on a spreadsheet that nobody can verify.

Carrier-level transparency

Every destination page lists the upstream carrier(s) and the network spec. Surprises live elsewhere.

Real 5G where 5G is real

Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, Taipei — all certified 5G NSA / SA. Where 5G is patchy, we say so.

Asia-traveler editorial

Our blog ships Shinkansen speed tests, Bangkok carrier benchmarks, Bali survival notes — not generic travel listicles.

No roaming surprises

The price quoted is the price billed. No mid-trip overage emails, no "fair use" enforcement letter.

Backed by 5+ years of operations

Five years of cross-border eSIM operations, Stripe-grade payments, 24/7 human support team.

Roadmap

Q3 2026 — add 5 more East/South Asia destinations as carrier KYC bypass becomes available. Q4 2026 — launch a multi-month Asia data subscription tier for digital nomads. Long term — extend coverage to Pacific Asia (Fiji, Solomon Islands) once tourist-grade roaming agreements clear.

A note on scope: EastESIM covers 25 Asian destinations. If a country is not in our catalogue, it usually means real 5G/4G tourist coverage is not yet good enough — we ship destinations we have actually tested, not entries we hope will work.
